China-Korea Design ǀ "New Technology and New Materials" Summit Forum

On the afternoon of October 17, hosted by the China Foreign Trade Center (Group) and the Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce, the 'New Technology and New Materials' China-Korea Design, co-organized by the Canton Fair Product Design and Trade Promotion Center (PDC) and the Korea Design Promotion Institute (KIDP) The summit forum was held in the No. 2 meeting room of the Canton Fair Complex.

Chen Yongfang, deputy director of the Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce, Xie Yingqun, general manager of the promotion department of the Product Design and Trade Promotion Center of the Canton Fair, and Hong Minshuo, director of the China Office of the Korea Design Promotion Institute, attended the event and delivered speeches. The forum invited Tong Huiming, vice president of Guangdong Industrial Design Association and professor of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, to be the guest host. Huang Xiaojing, director of strategy at Yang Design, a well-known design strategy and trend expert, Kiho Choi, professor at Cheongju University in South Korea, Jay Lee, design director at 20plus in South Korea, and local creation Materials R & D Director Chen Weikang and other guests gave a keynote speech, and nearly 100 exhibitors and design companies attended the forum.

Xie Yingqun pointed out in his speech that the world economy is showing a moderate recovery, and the situation facing China's foreign trade development is still complicated and grim. As a barometer and wind vane for China's foreign trade, the Canton Fair actively faces the new economic normal and takes the initiative to innovate and change. The transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry are inseparable from materials and technological innovation and upgrading. Today ’s forum invites leading industry experts from China and South Korea to teach innovative design thinking and business models, and discuss how to use new materials and technologies to enhance product added value and The core competitiveness aims to provide valuable industry foresight and feasibility exploration, and help the transformation and upgrading of 'Made in China'.

Hong Minshuo said that this forum is a new starting point. It will create a high-end platform to release and lead the vane of industrial design, promote industrial design and economic and trade exchanges between South Korea and Guangzhou, strengthen economic and technological cooperation, and promote independent innovation and original industrial design industry. Development by leaps and bounds.

Chen Yongfang believes that the development of South Korea's home appliance electronics industry is inseparable from the power of design and the use of new technologies and materials. This forum is an example of design trends in China and South Korea, where design and technical materials complement each other. I hope that designers and corporate friends from China and South Korea will benefit from it.

In the keynote speech, Huang Xiaojing shared the future design trends of the Chinese market. Through research on the overall domestic social form and consumption trends in the past, a prediction that conforms to the lifestyle of the Chinese people is proposed, and new materials can be treated in the future through color, material, surface treatment (ie Color, Material, Finish, referred to as 'CMF') Improve the design and quality of materials.

The theme of Kiho Choi, CEO of U2 Design and Professor of Cheongju University in South Korea, is 'How to use CMFP (color, material, texture and texture) in product recognition research' The speaker believes that CMFP is an intermediate field of visual design and products. It is a perceptual design marketing tool to satisfy consumers' visual, tactile and psychological satisfaction. The ultimate goal is to create high added value through the high-end and differentiation of products. . Afterwards, Professor Cui further elaborated on the development trend and practical application of CMFP through practical cases serving Supor.

Jay Lee, CEO of South Korea's 20plus design, delivered a keynote speech on the new design process of high-end home appliances. Explain the CMFP through the case of participating in the development of the LG Electronics signiture series, and analyze the design concepts using shapes, materials, and colors. Three new processes are used in high-end home appliance design. One is the reorganization of designers; the second is design priority; the third is design consensus (to obtain design consensus with engineers, marketing and marketing organizations).

The fourth speaker comes from Chen Weikang, director of materials research and development of local creation. He believes that 'new material' is narrowly understood as a new type of material that has never appeared before, and broadly can also be understood as the application of a certain material to In a new field, this makes it act as the concept of 'new material' in this new field. He then shared with the audience at the scene the application of clear water concrete in product design, such as making mobile phone cases, lamps and stereos with cement. In his speech, he has been focusing on the keyword 'recycling', using construction waste materials combined with the characteristics of clean concrete, recycling, and then creating daily necessities for our lives, creating a life of feelings with useless things.

After the speech, General Manager Xie Yingqun issued certificates to the moderators and speakers.
